Victoria Barlow

Victoria Barlow began her training at the Rockford Dance Company School with Janet Quilici and continued with Ken Von Heidecke of the Lyric Opera and Joy Xu, former principal with Shanghai Ballet. In 1992 and 1994, she toured with the company to China, performing at two international dance festivals. After moving to Chicago, Victoria completed her B.A. in Dance Education at Columbia College. She performed with the Chicago Ballet for two seasons and Bryant Ballet for six. She has danced in several productions of the Nutcracker. Her repertoire includes title roles in Cinderella and Snow White. A passionate teacher, Victoria has taught for several area schools. For 24 years, she has instructed at Dancenter North and is the head of the Ballet Department. Her choreography has been seen most recently in productions of the Evanston Dance Ensemble. She has been a Master Teacher for seven seasons for the CNADM, training students and teachers.
